Set Donation Goals and Track Fundraising Progress

Overview

With WP Easy Pay Premium, you can set a donation goal for your fundraising campaigns and display the progress to your visitors. Donation goals help donors understand how close your campaign is to reaching its target and can encourage more contributions.

In this guide, you will learn how to set a donation goal and display progress on your donation form.

Before You Begin

Before setting a donation goal, make sure:

• WP Easy Pay Premium is installed and activated
• Your Square account is connected
• You have already created a donation form

Create your first donation form

Open Your Donation Form

1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
2. Navigate to: WP Easy Pay → All Forms
3. Locate your donation form.
4. Click Edit to open the form builder.

Enable Donation Goal

Inside the Form Settings section:

1. Locate the Donation Goal option.
2. Enable the Donation Goal setting.

This allows you to define a fundraising target and track progress automatically.

Set Your Fundraising Target

After enabling the donation goal, configure the following settings:

Target Amount

Enter the total amount you want to raise for your campaign.

Example : $5,000 for a fundraising campaign.

Save Your Changes

After configuring your donation goal:

1. Click Update or Publish to save the form.

Your donation form will now display the progress toward the fundraising goal.

How Donation Progress Works

Each time a donation is completed:

• The total amount raised is updated automatically
• The progress bar adjusts to reflect the new total

This gives donors clear visibility into how their contributions help reach the goal.

Displaying Donation Progress on Your Website

If your donation form already appears on a page, the progress bar will automatically appear above or near the form once the donation goal is enabled.

If you haven’t added the form yet:

1. Copy the form shortcode.
2. Add it to a page or post using a Shortcode block or the WP EasyPay block.

Tips for Successful Donation Campaigns

To improve donor engagement:

• Clearly explain the purpose of your fundraising campaign
• Set a realistic fundraising goal
• Provide suggested donation amounts
• Share updates about campaign progress

Showing visible progress often encourages more people to contribute.
