Overview

WP Easy Pay allows you to easily collect donations on your WordPress website using Square payments. Whether you are raising funds for a campaign, charity, or community project, donation forms can be created quickly and embedded anywhere on your site.

In this guide, you will create a donation form, configure donation amounts, and add the form to a page so visitors can start contributing.

Before You Begin

Before creating a donation form, make sure the following steps are completed:

  • WP Easy Pay is installed and activated on your WordPress site
  • Your Square account is connected to WP Easy Pay

If you haven’t connected Square yet, see:

Connecting your Square account

Create a New Form

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to: WP EasyPay → Create Payment Form
  3. Enter a title for your form, such as “Donate” or “Support Our Campaign”.

This title is used internally to help you identify the form in the dashboard.

Choose the Donation Form Type

In the Form Settings tab, select the appropriate donation type.

You can choose between:

  • Donation – accepts one-time donations
  • Recurring Donation – allows supporters to donate on a recurring schedule (Premium)

Choose the option that best fits your fundraising needs.

Set Donation Amount Options

Next, configure how donation amounts will appear on the form.

WP Easy Pay supports multiple amount layouts:

  • Custom Amount – donors enter their own donation amount
  • Radio Listing – predefined donation amounts shown as radio buttons
  • Dropdown – donation amounts displayed in a dropdown list

You can provide suggested donation amounts or let donors enter their own contributions.

Add Fields and Customize the Form (Optional)

You can add additional fields to collect information from donors, such as:

  • Donor name
  • Email address
  • Message or note

You can also customize:

  • Button labels
  • Form styling
  • Form layout

`For more customization options, see:  Form appearance and extra fields

Configure Success Message or Redirect

After a successful donation, you can choose what donors see next.

You can configure:

  • A custom success message
  • A redirect to another page (such as a thank-you page)

These options can be configured in the form settings.

For more details, see: Form display and success options.

Publish the Donation Form

Once your settings are complete:

  1. Click Publish (or Update).
  2. Your donation form will be saved and ready to use.

Copy the Form Shortcode

After publishing the form:

  1. Locate the Shortcode box in the form builder.
  2. Copy the shortcode provided.

You can also copy the shortcode from:

WP EASY PAY → All Forms

Add the Donation Form to a Page

To display the form on your website:

  1. Go to Pages → Add New (or edit an existing page).
  2. Add a Shortcode block to the page.
  3. Paste the donation form shortcode.
  4. Click Publish or Update.

Alternatively, you can add the form using the WP EasyPay block and select your donation form from the dropdown.
