WP Easy Pay integrates Afterpay through Square, enabling you to offer flexible payment options directly on your WordPress payment forms.

This guide explains how to enable Afterpay from the admin settings and how it works on the front end.

Prerequisites

• Square account with Afterpay enabled
• Supported country

Enable Payment Methods in Square

1. Log in to your Square Dashboard
2. Go to Settings → Checkout / Payment Methods
3. Enable the desired payment methods (Afterpay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.)

Enable Afterpay in WP Easy Pay

Follow the steps below to activate Afterpay:

1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
2. Navigate to WP Easy Pay → Square Connect.

3. After connecting your Square account successfully, locate the Afterpay option in the payment methods list.

4. Check the Afterpay checkbox to enable it.

5. Click Save Settings to apply the changes

Once enabled, Afterpay will be available as a payment option on supported forms.

Note: Afterpay must also be enabled and approved in your Square account to function correctly.

How Afterpay Works on the Front End

After enabling Afterpay, customers can select it during checkout to complete their purchase in installments.

Customer Payment Flow

1. Visit your website and open the page where the WP Easy Pay form is published.

2. Enter the required basic information in the form fields.

3. Select an amount from the Payment Information section.

4. Choose Afterpay as the payment method.

5. Click Buy with Afterpay to continue.

Afterpay Checkout Process

6. An Afterpay popup will appear.

7. Enter your email address and click Continue.

8. Create your Afterpay account by entering the required personal and account details to continue.

9. Click the Continue button.
10. Enter the verification code sent to your mobile number.

11. Add your credit or debit card details, and click the Continue button.

12. Now on the next page, Review the order details. Click on the Continue button to complete the transaction.

13. Your payment has been processed with Afterpay successfully.

The transaction is processed securely through Square.

After Successful Payment

• The total amount is split into scheduled installments as displayed during checkout
• Payment details and schedules are managed by Afterpay
• Transactions can be viewed in the Square Dashboard (Sandbox or Live, depending on mode)

Important Notes & Limits

• Afterpay has transaction and account limits that may vary by region and merchant
• The maximum transaction amount is typically up to $1,500
• Outstanding account limits can go up to $2,000
• Limits increase over time based on customer repayment history
• Availability depends on Square account eligibility and country
