How to Integrate Square Terminal with WP EasyPay

WP Easy Pay allows you to integrate Square Terminal to accept in-person payments directly from your WordPress payment forms. This integration ensures secure, fast, and reliable credit card processing via your Square Terminal device.

Enable Terminal Pay in WP Easy Pay

Follow these steps to activate Terminal Pay:

1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
2. Navigate to WP Easy Pay → Square Connect.
3. After connecting Square successfully, locate the Terminal Pay option in the payment methods list.

4. Check the Enable Terminal Pay Payment checkbox.

5. Click Save Changes to apply the settings.

6. Click the Get Code button to generate a unique device code for your Square Terminal.

Integrate with Your Square Terminal

1. Access your Square Terminal device.
2. Sign in to the Terminal interface.

3. Click Use a Device Code.
4. Enter the unique code generated from WP Easy Pay.

5. Click Sign In to complete the integration process.

Once connected, your Square Terminal is ready to process in-person payments via WP Easy Pay forms.

How Terminal Payments Work on the Front End

After enabling Terminal Pay, customers or staff can process in-person payments directly from the payment form.

Step-by-Step Payment Flow

1. Open the WP Easy Pay form on your website’s front end.

2. Fill in the required form details (customer name, email, amount, etc.).

3. Select Terminal Pay as the payment method.

4. Click Pay with Terminal to initiate the transaction.

Terminal Device Processing

Terminal Notification:

After clicking Pay with Terminal, a payment request is instantly sent to your connected Square Terminal device.

Follow On-Screen Instructions:

The Square Terminal will prompt you to proceed with the payment and request the customer to insert their credit card.

Insert Credit Card:

Insert the credit card into the Square Terminal designated slot as instructed on the device screen.

Payment Processing:

The Square Terminal securely processes the transaction. This may take a few moments while the payment is authorized.

Payment Confirmation:

Once the transaction is successfully completed, a confirmation message with Payment Approved status will be displayed on both the Square Terminal and your WooCommerce / WP Easy Pay interface.

Receipt Generation:

After approval, the Square Terminal device will automatically generate a payment receipt containing the transaction details and total transaction amount.
