Create Your First Square Payment Form with WP Easy Pay

After installing WP EasyPay and connecting your Square account, the next step is to create a payment form.

WP EasyPay allows you to create payment forms that can be added anywhere on your website using a shortcode or block. Customers can then complete payments securely through Square.

This guide walks you through creating your first payment form and displaying it on your WordPress site.

Open the Payment Form Builder

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to WP EasyPay → Create Payment Form
  1. The Form Settings screen will open, where you can create and configure a new payment form.

Enter Basic Form Details

Start by entering the basic information for your form.

  • Form Title
    Enter a title for your form. This name is used internally in the WordPress dashboard to help you identify the form.
  • Payment Option
    Select the payment type you want to use:
    • Simple Payment – one-time payments
    • Donation – one-time donations
    • Recurring Donation – recurring donations (Premium)
    • Subscription – subscription plans (Premium)

Configure Amount & Layout Settings

Next, choose how payment amounts will appear on the form.

WP EasyPay provides several layout options:

  • Radio Listing – predefined amounts displayed as radio buttons
  • Dropdown – predefined amounts displayed in a dropdown menu
  • Custom Layout – customizable amount boxes
  • Tabular Layout – amounts displayed in a table format

You can also allow users to enter their own payment amount.

When using this option, you can define:

  • Minimum amount
  • Maximum amount

This ensures payments stay within the allowed range.

Publish the Payment Form

After completing the form settings:

  • Click Publish.
  • Your payment form will be saved and ready to use.

Copy the Payment Form Shortcode

Once the form is published, you can copy its shortcode.

Option 1: From the Form Builder

Copy the shortcode directly from the Form Builder screen.

Option 2: From All Forms

  1. Go to WP EasyPay → All Forms
  2. Locate your form and copy the shortcode from the list

Display the Form on a Page

You can add the payment form to any page or post using either a shortcode or the WP EasyPay block.

Option 1 — Using Shortcode

  1. Go to Pages → Add New (or edit an existing page or post).
  2. Add a Shortcode block to the editor.
  3. Paste the payment form shortcode.
  4. Click Publish or Update.

Option 2 — Using the WP EasyPay Block

  1. Go to Pages → Add New (or edit an existing page or post).
  2. Click the Add Block (+) button.
  3. Search for WP EasyPay.
  4. Add the WP EasyPay block.
  5. Select your payment form from the form dropdown.
  6. Click Publish or Update.

Result

Your Square payment form is now live and ready to collect payments on your website.

Customers can securely submit payments using Square, and you can manage transactions from:

  • WP EASY PAY → Reports
  • Your Square Dashboard

Customize Your Payment Form (Optional)

After creating your first form, you may want to customize it further to improve the payment experience.

WP EasyPay allows you to enhance your form with additional options such as:

  • Quantity field – Allow customers to select the number of items.
  • Custom amount limits – Set minimum and maximum payment amounts.
  • Payment success redirect – Redirect customers to a custom page after payment.
  • Custom success messages – Display a personalized confirmation message.
  • Terms & Conditions agreement – Requires users to accept terms before submitting the form.

These options can be configured directly within the form builder settings.

Advanced Features (Premium)

WP EasyPay Premium unlocks additional features that help you create more advanced payment experiences.

These include:

  • Coupons – Offer discount codes for payments.
  • Saved cards – Allow returning customers to securely save their card for future payments.
  • Square product sync – Display and sell products directly from your Square catalog.
  • Recurring donations – Accept ongoing donations from supporters.
  • Subscriptions – Create automated recurring payment plans.
