Add Coupons to WP Easy Pay Forms with Square-Synced Products

Estimated reading: 3 minutes 149 views

WP Easy Pay integrates with your Square account to sync products directly onto your payment form. When product synchronization is active, customers can browse and select synced Square products on your WordPress site.

Coupons can only be created and managed within WP Easy Pay and applied at checkout to offer discounts. Please note that coupons are not synced with Square; they are set up separately inside WP Easy Pay and work with the payment form during checkout.

This is useful for product-based businesses running promotions, seasonal sales, or loyalty discounts directly through their WordPress site.

Step 1 — Set Up a Coupon (Back-End)

Make sure you have already created a coupon as explained in the previous guide. Confirm that the coupon is published and the target form is selected under the Forms included setting.

Step 2 — Enable Both Toggles on the Form

  1. In the left sidebar, go to WP Easy Pay → All Forms.
  2. Click the edit icon next to the form that has Square products.
  3. Inside the Form settings tab, locate the following two toggles and turn both ON:
    • Enable a coupon on my form. This activates the coupon input field on the front-end form, allowing customers to enter their discount code.
    • Enable synchronization for simple products. This syncs your Square products onto the form. When this is active along with the coupon toggle, the coupon discount will be applied to the total product cost at checkout.
  4. Click the Update button to save.

Step 3 — Front-End: View Products Before Coupon is Applied

Navigate to the page where your payment form is published.

The customer enters their basic info (First Name, Last Name, Email) and sees the list of Square products in the Payment section — each with a product image, name, unit price, quantity
selector, and cost.

Below the product list, a Discount section is visible with an Enter Coupon Code input field and an Apply button.

At this stage, the total reflects the full product cost with no discount applied. For example: 10 × Ball Point Pen ($3.00) + 10 × Ink Pen ($8.00) + 10 × Power Bank ($30.00) = $410.00 USD.

Step 4 — Front-End: Apply the Coupon Code

  1. The customer types the coupon code into the Enter Coupon Code field.
  2. They click the Apply button.
  3. If the code is valid, a green banner appears at the top of the payment section: “Congratulations! Coupon applied successfully.
  4. The coupon input row is replaced with a “Coupon applied” label and a REMOVE button.
  5. The Pay button amount is automatically updated to reflect the discounted total. For example, a $50 fixed discount reduces the total from $410.00 to $360.00 USD.

Note: If the customer wants to remove the coupon, they can click the REMOVE button, and the original total will be restored.
